Future Monitoring of Dangerous Goods Transports - 17/03/2010 - 9h00 à 18h00 - Chambre de Commerce (L)

In the recent years, a number of tragic catastrophes involving dangerous goods gave rise to intensive discussions on possible integral safety concepts to trace and track the transport of hazardous goods on a European level.

Following several national studies on the subject, this conference will provide a forum to continue the discussions. It is organised by Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and CORTE, and in collaboration with several companies. Experts from public authorities, specialist associations, road operators and technology providers will focus on the current risks and future needs regarding the monitoring of dangerous goods transports, covering legislation and standards, safety requirements, industrial engineering and practical experiences.

The workshop is open to all interested persons and aims to inform on the security requirements, analyze the needs in terms of innovative products and services, and motivate users to participate in future feasibility studies and demonstration projects.
